This paper presents parametric studies related to equalization of even‐ and odd‐mode phase velocities in coupled suspended substrate striplines (SSSs). An SSS band‐pass filter at 2.4 GHz with suppressed 2 nd harmonic has been designed using the present phase‐velocity equalization technique and experimental results of the filter are discussed. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
