This paper demonstrates the reverse Doppler effect associated with wave propagation in left‐handed materials using a simple circuit configuration. Virtual source motion within a left‐handed medium is electrically realized using sequential switching of transmission‐line taps along a left‐handed transmission line consisting of L ‐ C unit cells. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
