A compact variation of a C‐shaped microstrip antenna, that is, a shorted L‐shaped microstrip antenna, is proposed. Several suspended multiresonator gap‐coupled shorted L‐shaped configurations have been proposed to obtain wide bandwidth and high gain. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
