Planewave scattering from finite‐width corrugated metal plates is studied, assuming a 2D time‐harmonic field problem. The analysis is based on integral equations and the methods of moments (MoM), which are used to eventually obtain the scattered far fields. The focus is on the polarization of the reflected field, especially on the frequency dependency of the polarization. A 2D model enables analysis of quite large corrugated reflector geometries using a regular PC. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
