The element‐pattern correlation explains the existence of correlation between the signals received by different antenna elements in an antenna array. Usually the array losses are ignored. A more realistic model for pattern correlation in a two‐element array including losses is presented and discussed. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
