A dual spiral‐loop strip antenna fed by coplanar stripline (CPS) is proposed and developed for circularly polarized printed antennas with miniaturized size and broad bandwidth. The overall size is reduced in circumference by about 33%. A printed feeding circuit is designed and implemented using uniplanar CPS technology in order to realize good impedance matching. The predicted results are validated by the experiment. The measured bandwidths under a 3‐dB axial ratio and voltage standing‐wave ratio are found to about 10% and 6%, respectively. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
