A new phased‐array driver module for a two‐antenna array is proposed in this paper. This driver, designed using a six‐port phase discriminator, automatically controls the phase of one antenna‐array element in order to maximize the received power. The results for a phased two‐antenna array operating at 2.45 GHz are presented and discussed. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
