A new resistance model, which considers both the metal‐skin effect and eddy‐current losses of rectangular spiral‐inductor structures, is proposed. Specifically, a correction term is added to the in‐series resistance model so as to more accurately model the high‐frequency behavior of metal losses. The accuracy of this analytical model is validated by comparing its simulated results with the measured ones. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
