A dual‐band printed diversity antenna for 2.4/5.2‐GHz WLAN operation is proposed. The antenna consists of two orthogonal C‐shaped monopoles placed symmetrically with respect to a protruding T‐shaped ground plane. Across the two bands, the antenna has two highly decoupled ports and can provide spatial diversity to combat multipath fading. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
