Very simple and accurate closed‐form formulas obtained by using the curve‐fitting technique are presented for coplanar strip (CPS) synthesis. The average percentage error is found to be 1.56% for 2524 CPS samples having different electrical parameters and physical dimensions, as compared with the results obtained from the quasi‐static analysis. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
