Most of the numerous measurement techniques available for microwave dielectric properties are static, and their specimen preparations are complex and tedious. In this paper, a novel trapezoidal‐groove guide sensor for achieving continuous measurement is designed applied to measure the moisture of granular materials. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
