In this paper, we describe a variation of a folded slot antenna that is formed by a nonuniform‐width slot. The antenna is fed by a coplanar waveguide on which a pair of small slits are located on both sides for broadband matching. The simulated results and measured data reveal that it enjoys a relatively wide bandwidth of 37.4%. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
