In this paper, a parallel implementation of the precorrected fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm is presented to efficiently solve the volume‐integral equation for scattering from inhomogeneous dielectric objects. Several examples are given to demonstrate the efficiency and correctness of the message‐passing interface (MPI)‐based parallelization algorithm. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
