A top‐loading technique for monopole antennas which permits us to obtain a multiband performance from a wide set of antenna geometries is presented. Dual‐band and a triple‐band monopole antenna designs are described in detail, featuring both similar input impedances and radiation pattern across the different bands. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
