We present and demonstrate experimentally a new method for measuring the polarization mode dispersion (PMD) of chirped fiber Bragg gratings. The technique can also be used to measure chromatic dispersion (CD) more accurately by eliminating the influence of PMD. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
