Traditional reverberation chamber antenna measurements consist of transmission measurements between a fixed antenna inside the chamber and the antenna under test. A novel method for measuring antenna efficiency is presented, in which only the reflection coefficient of the antenna under test is measured. Measurements indicate that the method is accurate. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 30: 332–335, 2001.
