This contribution presents a locally nonorthogonal FDTD analysis of a class of conformal antenna arrays. A complex test structure is considered, containing two patches, dielectrics, absorbing boundaries, and a heavily distorted mesh region. This structure is deliberately designed to determine whether inaccuracy is introduced by the use of distorted meshes. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 30: 238–240, 2001.
