A stacked patch configuration has been demonstrated experimentally as a feasible solution to enhance the bandwidth of a microstrip antenna, but little information on the design procedure is available. A design scheme based on a simple network model is presented. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 30: 149–151, 2001.
