In this paper, a method is presented to model the electromagnetic structure that is smaller than an MRTD cell. As an example, the power‐plane resonance problem in a multilayered PCB is analyzed by using a Haar‐wavelet‐based MRTD. This paper demonstrates the accuracy and efficiency of the MRTD. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 30: 6–9, 2001.
