This paper presents a new hybrid‐ring geometry, that can be synthesized easily and quickly with a computer tool and realized without difficulty in microstrip technology. The presented geometry performances are tested by simulations and measurements of some microstrip devices. Very good agreement between obtained and predicted results is observed. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
