In this paper a uniplanar wideband loop antenna is presented. The proposed antenna utilizes an inverted Cantor set matrix sequence of thinning and filling, taken by turns. With a 50Ω microstrip feed, an impedance bandwidth of 2–20 GHz (VSWR < 2.5) is obtained. The experimental results of return loss and radiation patterns are presented. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
