This paper describes a stacked suspended probe‐fed plate antenna for broadband applications. The effects of changing the size of the upper plate and the distance between the upper and the lower plates on the impedance and radiation characteristics of the antenna are discussed numerically and experimentally. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
