In this paper, a design of a rectangular‐ring slot antenna for obtaining triple‐frequency operation using a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed or microstrip‐line feed is presented. We introduce three concentric rectangular‐ring slots whose perimeters easily control the three respective operating frequencies. Details of the proposed design are investigated by experimental as well as theoretical studies. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
