In this paper, the authors propose continuous‐wave single‐frequency (CW‐SF) and multi‐frequency (CW‐MF) microwave techniques for measurement of large‐structure vibration. Theoretical background and experimental results of tests on a vertical steel structure, subjected both to artificial solicitation through a vibrodyne and to wind, are reported. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
