A set of closed form relations is proposed for the analysis of two types of width‐limited microstrip lines using a conformal mapping method. New closed‐form equations are derived for microstrip lines with rectangular and/or trapezoidal shaped dielectric substrates, and the computational results are compared with available data from other authors. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
