Planar antenna structures for broadband applications in the millimeter‐wave band at 60 GHz are investigated experimentally. Feeding through a waveguide is used to achieve high performances such as wide‐bandwidth operation and to enable a choice of designs by means of a low‐cost technological process. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
