Design of a rectangular coplanar patch antenna for obtaining dual‐frequency operation using a coplanar waveguide with ground (CPWG) feed is presented. This is achieved by introducing an CPWG feed line attaching on the diagonal of the patch. Details of the proposed designs are described, and experimental and theoretical results are presented and discussed. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
