A principle to suppress parasitic transmission peak occurrence in high‐Q‐factor dielectric‐loaded cavity filters is presented in this Letter. As an example a two–pole filter, using an original structure, is presented and realized. Experimental results fully confirm the predicted behavior of the cavity. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
