The possibility of establishing a communication channel using meteor burst has been known for decades. In recent years there has been a renewed interest on the subject as a way to offer new wireless services at a low cost. This Letter proposes a novel mobile terminal antenna that fits the stringent size requirements demanded while retaining good gain and polarization purity. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
