This Letter reports on the design and realization of HTS dual‐mode cross‐slotted filters presenting a more compact size if compared with the traditional dual‐mode patch filters. Dual‐stage filters operating in C band and presenting Chebyshev or quasi‐elliptical responses have been realized and tested by using YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7‐x (YBCO) films. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
