In this letter, we experimentally study a T and a shunt‐stub‐shaped microstrip‐fed slot antenna backed by a ground plane. The proposed antenna has a frequency bandwidth of approximately 54% for S 11 ≤−10 dB, centered around 2.5 GHz, with relatively good pattern characteristics. © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
