This paper presents numerical results for the dielectric polarizability of canonically shaped homogeneous scatterers: cube, tetrahedron, and octahedron. The method is based on solving the integral equation for the static scalar potential on the surface of the scatterer by the method of moments. Easy‐to‐use interpolation formulas are given for the polarizabilities as a function of the permittivity. © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 32: 60–64, 2002.
