Slotted‐waveguide antennas with omni‐directional radiation patterns are analyzed using the method of moments and a full‐wall electromagnetic simulator based on the finite‐difference time‐domain (FDTD) method. The resonant and radiation properties of the antennas have been examined. The simulated results are shown to be in good agreement with those obtained from measurements. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
