In this letter, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel passive scheme for the path monitoring of wavelength‐routed networks where optical nodes are implemented by means of arrayed waveguide routers. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 31: 319–322, 2001.
