The scattering from finite frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) characterized by planar interfaces is analyzed, resorting to two PO‐based hybrid techniques. The hybrid techniques, validated with a full‐wave numerical technique, are easy to implement, fast, and already quite accurate for medium‐size FSSs. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
