In this paper, analysis and design of a new triple‐band filtering power divider (FPD) with sharp selectivity is presented. Based on the provided analytical equations and synthesis design, the proposal reveals its powerful capacity in design of a triple‐band FPD with any prespecified quasi‐elliptic responses and high isolation and matching, which are very promising for multi‐band modern wireless communications systems. To verify the design method, a triple‐band microstrip FPD prototypes are designed, fabricated, and measured for demonstration. Measured results are found to coincide well with simulated ones, which verify the feasibility of the proposed design method.
