Closed formulae that apply also beyond the range of square‐law are derived for the first time, for the video voltage of a RF diode detector with zero bias. The junction's capacitance and package's parasitics are accounted for. The input impedance too is computed, and the low‐pass behaviour of the video current's loop is predicted under square‐law. Those formulae agree well with the simulator against which they compete.
