A new circularly polarized CPW antenna is presented. Total size of the antenna is 60 × 60 × 0.8 mm 3 which is fabricated on a low cost FR4 substrate. The measured bandwidth of the proposed antenna is from 2 up to 6.68 GHz for VSWR < 2, and also the measured axial‐ratio (AR) bandwidth is almost 4.1 GHz from 2.34 up to 6.44 GHz. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
