The present paper is dedicated to the large‐time asymptotic behavior of global strong solutions near constant equilibrium (away from vacuum) to the compressible Navier‐Stokes‐Poisson equations in the L p critical framework. The proof mainly depends on the pure energy argument without the spectral analysis (for the linearized system), which enables us to remove the usual smallness assumption on low frequencies of initial data. It is improved in comparison with the result of Shi and Xu [J Differ Equ. 2019; 266(10):6426‐6458].
