We consider a coupled model for steady flows of viscous incompressible heat‐conducting fluids with dissipative and adiabatic heating and temperature‐dependent material coefficients in a plane bounded domain. The existence of a strong solution is proven by a fixed‐point technique based on Schauder theorem for sufficiently small external forces. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
