We consider a model of the motion of a viscous dielectric liquid subjected to a DC electric field in the case when the bulk conduction results from the presence of a dissociation‐recombination process. The effects of both magnetic field and ionic diffusion are neglected. The existence of at least one weak solution is proved via the method of renormalized solutions.
