We treat the time‐harmonic Maxwell equations with the boundary condition (ν, E ) = (ν, H ) = 0 in an exterior multiply connected domain. A uniqueness result by Yee for the case of a simply connected domain is extended to multiply connected domains and existence is obtained by a boundary integral equation approach.
