President Joe Biden on April 23 announced the nominee for assistant secretary for mental health and substance use at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. If approved, Miriam Delphin‐Rittmon, Ph.D., commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, will head the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
