While there has been a rich body of evidence to support simulation training for professions such as aviation and the medical field, this type of learning and development technology had not made its way to behavioral health, where clinicians have historically relied on theory or role‐playing for training in evidence‐based practices (EBPs). That has now changed with the recent launch of what nonprofit behavioral health provider Centerstone is calling the world's first known simulation training for use by community behavioral health professionals.
