The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced last month Tom Coderre as acting assistant secretary for mental health and substance use, citing his decades‐long experience in public, private and nonprofit service. Coderre is also the first person in recovery to lead SAMHSA.
