July 26 marked the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and while there has been much progress noted from this landmark civil rights law, such as access and inclusion for people with psychiatric disabilities, there remains more work to be done, including increased opportunities for people to live in their own homes and communities, say advocates.
