In a year when gun‐related violence and fatalities in Chicago are running close to 50% ahead of 2019 numbers, one incident in particular has galvanized response on the city's West Side. The killing of a three‐year‐old child over Father's Day weekend has inspired the formation of a task force that will seek to shed light on the link between a community's trauma and acts of violence.
