Amid increasing calls from psychiatrists to take action on racism, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) on July 2 announced it has begun its work on addressing racism with initial efforts to gauge psychiatrists' impressions on the effects of structural racism on their patients, which will help inform their work going forward.
