Rural and minority populations face barriers in accessing school‐based support

High school students, particularly those of color or living in rural communities, report difficulty in gaining access to basic mental health services, according to a report released last month. Among the promising interventions suggested in the report to address this problem, authors cite closer partnerships between local school districts and area nonprofit mental health providers.
