Noting that traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) contribute to a substantial number of deaths each year, a new analysis by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in its Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report finds that nearly half of TBI–related deaths are classified as intentional injuries by suicide or homicide.
